Carlota Gurascier is a New York-based vocalist dedicated to Bossa Nova and Jazz music. With a rich, dreamy tone and playful, rhythmic aptitude, Carlota transports her audience to a realm where beloved classics feel forever young and new stories are brought to life.

Having grown up in New York City surrounded by music, Carlota was taught to play guitar and sing vocal harmonies at an early age by her father, a guitarist and musician in his own right. Her early passion for music and movement inspired her to pursue dance. She studied ballet, modern and jazz dance at the School of American Ballet, the American Ballet Theatre School and Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts. Her love of dance is apparent in how she navigates rhythmically through her vocal repertoire, bringing dynamic movement to her sound.

A student of acclaimed jazz vocal coach Richard Harper, and opera instructor Daniel F. Collins, Carlota draws inspiration from her diverse artistic background and a passion for the performing arts. She can be seen live at various music clubs and venues throughout New York City and abroad, and is available for private events, as well.
